8 Months

Wow how time flies! Here I am at 8 months along ( 32 weeks 1 day) I now feel very pregnant. The littlest things I do make me very tired. Pretty much everyday my hips and back hurt, I cant wait until Riley makes her appearance. I defiantly waddle around now and getting out of bed is beginning to be a chore.

Tuesday March 17th Adam and I get to tour the labor and delivery at Riverside with our birth class. I am very excited to see the rooms and get the lowdown on what will be going on when I am there. Our next doctors appointment in on Wednesday March 18th.

8th appointment

30 weeks 5 days
Went to our 8th doctors appointment yesterday and everything went great. I only gained 3 pounds this month which is very good for me considering that last month I gained 7!! I'm guessing that my body is leveling out or at least I'm hoping so. Usually at this stage in the pregnancy women are gaining the most weight. I guess we will have to wait until my next appointment which is on March 18th to see. From now on I will be going to see the doctor every 2 weeks. Wow has time flown by.
Also, this week we started our birthing classes. They are ever Tuesday in March for 2 1/2 hours at each session. The first class I think went very well. It's nice to be in a group of people that all are in the same boat with us. We all have no idea what is going to happen to our bodies or our lives after these babies arrive.

7 Months

Here I am at 7 months along or 28 weeks 2 days. I thought that some of you would like to see what the belly looks like with out being covered. Enjoy! Riley is still being very active. Now she is moving more during the day but still lots of movement at night.

Got a call from the doctor today letting me know that my 3 hour glucose test came back fine. So after starving myself and Riley and sitting in a doctors office for 3 hours everything ended up coming back negative. I'm glad that I don't have to do that again!

Our next appointment is on March 3rd.

Doctor Called About Test Results

The doctor called this morning to let me know that my iron is a little low. It should be 11.5 and I am 11.0 so now I have to take an iron supplement. No big deal most pregnant women end up having low iron. The doctor also told me that my glucose test came back and now I have to have the 3 hour test. The cut off percentage is 135 and of course I was 137. I scheduled my 3 hour glucose test for Monday February 9th. I have to be at the doctors office by 8am to get my first round of blood drawn. Then I get to drink that glucose drink and then they take my blood 3 more times. Pretty much I am going to be a pin cushion that day and be starved.

7th Doctors Appointment

Today was the day that I had to get my 1 hour glucose test. They are looking to see if my iron is okay and to see if I have developed diabetes. I will know something in a day or two. Hopefully everything comes back okay that way I wont have to go back for the 3 hour glucose test.

Riley is still active as ever. I asked the doctor how she is positioned inside my tummy and she said that Riley is laying horizontal. The doctor also measured my stomach and I am 28 cm which she said is good. I weigh a lovely 150 pounds! That means in the 6 1/2 months that I have been pregnant that I have gained a whopping 25 pounds. Can't wait to see how much more I gain

6 Months

Here I am at 6months to be exact 24 weeks 5 days along. Riley is almost always kicking me now. It seems like most evenings and nighttime is when she is the most active. This is usually not a good time for that considering this is when I would love to be fast asleep. She is defiantly a very active little girl.
Our visit to the doctor went well. Our next visit is on February 4th. We were told that I will not be getting another ultrasound done until I'm further along.
