Pumpkin Farm 17 months

We took Riley to her first pumpkin farm with Nana, Papa and uncle Bryan. We ended up picking a perfect Sunday to go. It was 75 and sunny. Riley had a blast. She was walking everywhere picking out pumpkins. We tried to get her to sit on a pumpkin and she wanted nothing to do with it. Then we tried to get her to sit inside the pumpkin bin and she was scared.

I just uploaded pictures from my camera and found more 17 month pics! Lisa was in town with Kylie and we got together for a little play date. It was so cute watching them play together. They are 9 months apart but they were loving each other. They both got big smiles on their faces looking at each other. Lisa and I keep telling them that they are going to be best friends :)

Riley every time she gets out of the bath loves to run around the house naked! She ran over to Adam and sat on his lap and I couldn't refuse, I just needed to get a pic of her little behind.

The other day I was in our hall closet and Riley followed me in and found her bumbo chair. She pulled it out and sat in it. I couldn't believe that she still fits in it. Then she grabbed a book and started reading in her chair.

17 months old

October 15th, 2010 Riley turned 17 months old. At school they gave the kids pumpkin seeds and they left them on the play ground. The next day pumpkins had grown! They got to go out and pick out there very own pumpkins to bring home. Riley couldn't decide which one she wanted. At one point she had picked up 3 different ones :) We had gotten her a potty so she could get use to it. She didn't really care about it then one day when she got out of the bath she wanted to sit on it. Nothing happened on it but she sure enjoyed sitting on it

Riley's stay at childrens hospital 16 months

September 16th, 2010 My poor little lady had only been at the daycare for 3 weeks and in that short time she came down with diarrhea and then got croup!!! Another kid in her class had gotten croup and spread it through her room. Riley caught it on a Tuesday ( which we didnt know) and by Wednesday morning she was coughing with a bark and wheezing. Adam took her to the doctor while I was at work. The doctor conformed that it was croup and gave her a steroid shot and sent them home. The steroid shot worked like a champ and she seemed so much better by Wednesday afternoon. Well on Thursday morning she was starting to sound bad again. It was too late for me to call off work so I took her in with me and told her teachers to let me know asap if she got worse. I went to lunch and got a call from work saying that she seemed bad and I needed to come back and get her. I went and got her and she was 100% worse then what she sounded like that morning. I rushed her over to her doctor where they gave her another steroid shot and told us to go immediately to Children's Hospital. The doctor called the hospital to let them know we were on our way. I ran home and got Adam and we went straight down. We got in right away and they started her on a breathing treatment. The treatment didn't work so they wanted to make sure she hadn't accidentally swallowed something so we got xrays done. The xrays came back with nothing lodged so we got another breathing treatment that didn't work again so we got admitted to the hospital!! This was scary and Riley was having a very hard to time breathing. It didn't help that she was crying and screaming which makes it worse. We went up to our room and stayed over night and she got so much better that the next day we got to go home!!!! We maybe saw 15 or more doctors and nurses while we were there...no joke! They said this was one of worse cases they had seen. Now we know that if she ever gets it again that we need to act immediately with steroids and this special breathing treatment you can only get in the hospital.

September 8th, 2010 Riley got her first ever school pictures taken. I had no idea that this was even going on! We had been out of town and poor Riley had gotten some bug in her system and had diarrhea for 7 days. This was our first day back in over a week and when I walked into school they told me it was picture day! She was wearing a whole other outfit so I had the teachers hurry and change her into her extra outfit. Her class photo is missing some kids because they too came down with the diarrhea bug :(

September 15, 2010 Riley turned 16th months!!

First day of school

August 24th, 2010 Was Riley's first day of school! She is in the Older Infant room which has kids from 10 months up to 18 months. She did a great job!!! She walked in and went right to playing. I of course didn't stick around because I didn't want her to cry when I left. My classroom over looks her playground so I was luck enough to see her play with her new friends and of course take some pictures with my phone :) During my lunch I stopped in her classroom to make sure she was doing okay. She was fast asleep so I had to snap a pic of her so I could email it to Adam. They said she was having a great day.

15 months old

August 15, 2010 Riley turned 15 months old! She started to eat with a spoon and fork!!!

This was our last week of watching Sam and being a stay at home mom. I have been getting Riley to start napping around the same time as the daycare. This way she will be use to it before starting. I wanted to make sure her transition went smoothly.

The Ohio State Fair

Monday August 2nd, 2010 Was our second annual Ohio State Fair trip! Last year just Nana and I took Riley but this year Adam took the day off and so did Papa, uncle Bryan and Nana! So pretty much the Hartig & Tindall families invaded the fair :)

We got there early and started off. We saw lots of animals. Horses, cows, chickens and dogs. We did a little shopping and lots of eating! It was hot of course but we made it through the whole fair. We were there for 4 hours and all of us we exhausted. Until next year..

14 months old

July 15, 2010 Riley turned 14 months old! We have been going to the zoo, playing at the pool, play dates on Fridays and even went to the Dublin Irish Festival.

I had been taking Riley & Sam every week to the zoo but it started getting very hot and humid out so I had to stop going. Adam, me and Riley went Sunday August 8th to the zoo and it was Adam's only 3rd time going with Riley. We lucked out going at 10:30am. There was no one there and we got to see lots of animals and even got to get up close to them which never happens! On Saturday August 7th we went to the Dublin Irish Festival with aunt Briana, Matt & Brooke. We had a great time. We ate, listened to music and of course shopped!! We stayed for 4 hours. Riley was pooped when we left. Put her in the car and she was asleep for the night in 2 minutes, no joke! It has been so nice getting to be around aunt Briana, Matt & Brooke lately. We have had some great weekends with them the last couple of weeks :)

Every Friday Riley has a play date with 4 other mothers and babies. This coming Friday August 13th is going to be Riley last play date. I got a job at a daycare and Riley will be going to the school with me everyday. I will be working in the infant room 6weeks - 12 month olds. Riley will be going to the older infants room which is kids that are 12 months to 18 months old. Adam and I took her in the other day so she could see her room and so Adam could meet the teacher and see what room she is going to be in. Riley seemed to really enjoy it and I'm thinking its going to be great for her to be around more kids that are at the same point she is at.

Riley has been going down at night around 8:30ish and waking 12 hours later (8am) She is taking only 1 nap a day now and I am trying to get her onto the daycare schedule to make it easier for when I start work. She gets her regular breakfast ( pancakes, waffles, french toast sticks and fruit) She hasn't been really eating her lunch lately at all. Maybe a couple of bites here and there. She then gets a snack which she always eats then its dinner time. Well, she really isn't eating her dinner either.

Her 15 month check up is on August 13th. I will be bringing up the not eating to the doctor and we will have to see what she says about it.

Update!!!! Update!!!! Update!!!

Sorry it has taken me a month and a half to update the blog! I just uploaded 7 videos of Riley starting with her opening her gifts from Adam & I. They all wont be on this page so you will have to look at the page before this one. I will never wait this long again to do the blog, it was way too much work and time to get all this on here. I hope you enjoy all the new videos and pictures :)

July 2, 3 & 4 th weekend 13 months

July 2,3 & 4, 2010. What a big busy weekend we all had. Friday July 2nd was central Ohio big fireworks show red, white & boom. We didn't go down but we watched it on tv! Riley stayed up and got to see them too. Saturday July 3rd was Dublin's fireworks show and before hand we went over to our friends house and had a cookout played a little corn hole game and then packed up and went to the fireworks. This was Riley's very first fireworks show and she did great! She loved them. She kept pointing and saying ohhh. There was music playing along to the fireworks and she was swaying back and forth to it. So cute!!! Sunday July 4th was Jason & Emily's July 4th bbq party. Got Riley all dressed in her red, white & blue outfit and headed over to the party. July 4th was by far the hottest, stickiest day so far this summer. We had lots of food, fun, laughter and drinks. My friend Lisa stopped over with her little girl Kylie who is 4 1/2 months old. Riley was very interested in Kylie and really wanted to play with her. Just think next year we will have another little baby running around, baby Liebert!!!

July 3, 2010 we went over to our friends house before we all headed over to the Dublin fireworks. Got a little video of Riley running around outside. She was a little freaked out by the dog but then warmed up to him since he doesn't bark or jump on her.

13 months old

June 15, 2010 Riley turned 13 months old! She does so much now. She now knows how to get off and on her rocking horse all by herself. She even knows how to rock it back and forth. She now learned how to get onto the couch and off of it too. She loves to be on the couch and runs back and forth on it all day long. She has a ball that she loves to throw. She even knows what the ball is when you say "go get the ball" she goes over and gets it. She made her first picture the other day and now it is hanging on the refrigerator. We are now those people :) She says mama, dada, hi, waves hi and waves bye. says uh oh and ca for cat. She got another tooth at the beginning on June. So now she has 6 teeth total. 3 on top and 3 on bottom. Right now she is cutting another upper tooth!

She goes down at night around 8sih sometimes later and wakes 8-9ish. She was for a about 2 weeks only taking 1 nap a day but she has just recently gone back to two naps a day. I guess she still needed it since she is none stop all day long. She eats breakfast which is pancakes, waffles and fruit. She has lunch which is peanut butter & jelly, grilled cheese, noodles and fruit. Snack is anything pretty much, fruit bars, animals crackers, fruit, crackers. Then for dinner she eats what we eat so its chicken, steak, brauts, hamburgers, veggie, fruit. She eats anything which is very nice!!
