October 23, 2009 Riley turned 23 weeks old. She has been sitting up more and more everyday. We cant let her sit up un supervised or she falls over very easily. Soon enough she will be doing it all by herself. Riley has been eating her cereal about 3 times a day now with her 4 bottles too. She is getting better at getting the cereal in her mouth! Soon we are going to be giving her jar food.
On Friday the 23rd Riley's very first tooth came in! It is on the bottom middle. She really didn't fuss all that much. Now we are waiting for the tooth next to it to pop through. You can feel it coming. On Saturday the 24th Riley got to go and hang out with Nana & Papa Hartig high school friends. They have a camp fire, food and a hayride every year. It was the first time we have been. We didn't stay too long at it. Maybe next year we can get some pictures of Riley around the fire and on the hayride. On Sunday the 25th Adam and I took Riley to her first pumpkin patch. Got some pictures of her there. On the 27th I took her over to Uncle Bryan's and Aunt Leigh's house and she had a fun time playing with all of there pumpkins! We even put her in one :) She loved to eat the stem of the pumpkins.
Riley had a very busy week. She got some new shoes for winter time. She doesn't mind them at all. They are a little big right now but she will grow into them. She only kicks off one of the shoes! Riley also got to meet her great uncle Gary, Adam's fathers brother. More pictures of Gary to come. I just wanted to snap one so I could put it on the blog. There are also some more pic's of Riley just playing and having a great time. I wish I could be a baby again!
October 2, 2009 Riley turned 5 months old. As always I took pictures of her that day. I also got some of her in the swing. She doesn't sleep in the swing anymore so I am trying to get her to play with her toys in it. So far no luck. I got some pictures of her with Adam. We like to pretend to eat her feet and she thinks its funny! She has started a new thing by eating/sucking on Adam's noise. I got some pictures of her in a t-shirt that we bought right when we found out I was pregnant. We thought I was having a boy so that is why Riley has a t-shirt that says "little monster" on it. I think it works for both girls and boys. I wanted to get some pictures of her in it with the boo sign. We are getting ready for Halloween!
Riley is taking all her naps in her bed now. She has started waking up in the middle of night and I started a bad habit of bringing her into our bed to sleep the rest of the night. Now she doesn't want to sleep unless she is being held. As of now i am trying to break her of this horrible habit. Hopefully it wont take me long to do.
