Riley swinging (10 months)

Play Date at the park ( 10 months old)

Friday March 19th, 2010 Riley had her second play date. Noelle was in town with her children Elle and Ivan, Elizabeth brought her daughter Kathryn and we all met up at the park off riverside drive and hard rd. ( Leatherlips park) It was a very warm and beautiful day to play at the park. Riley has never been to the park since it hasn't been warm out yet. I put her on the swing and started to push her and she loved it! Then I took her over to the slide and held her hands while she slid down it. Another first for her and once again she loved it. I'm so glad that we chose to go to a park . It was nice to see Riley enjoy the swing set and slides. I cant wait until it becomes spring and we can take her everyday to the park.

March 17, 2010 It's St. Patricks Day! Riley got a very cute outfit from Canady and her mother and I just had to take lots of pictures of Riley in it!

10 months old

March 15, 2010 Riley turned 10 months old! She is moving around more than ever now. At the beginning of the month Riley took her first step and now she is walking across rooms and down hallways. She still crawls here and there but she sure likes to walk more. Riley also got her first front tooth during the weekend! Her other front tooth and one next to it are also on the way in. Total teeth count now is 3.

We had to but cabinet latches on all the cabinets in the kitchen. She started during the weekend opening them and after she didn't stop we knew it was time. I also have put up the toilet paper and magazines in the hall bath so she cant destroy those anymore.

She is taking 4 bottle at 6.5 oz each and she is eating a total of 6 jars a day now! She sure likes to eat. We are going to be changing her jars to the next stage so we will only be giving her 3 jars a day which will be very nice on the wallet.

Riley is talking more and more everyday now. We are teaching her how to say "Cat" so far she has "Ca" down. Every time she sees Mesha she says "Ca" so she knows what we are saying and trying to teach her. She also is saying mom and dad now. I'm thinking that she now knows which one is mom and which one is dad.

9.5 months We almost have a walker on our hands!

March 11, 2010 Riley has been taking a couple of steps here and there the last week or so. Well yesterday she took a lot of steps. I think that the most she took was 6-7 before she fell. I kept trying to get it on video throughout the day but she was more interested in the camera than to walk for me! Here is at least one video of her walking between the couch and chairs

9 months old playing w/ her grocery cart

February 26,2010 We brought out Riley grocery cart to let her play with it one night since she has never gotten to play with it. It is still too big for her but she loved playing with all boxes that came with it. The video didn't capture the best part. She was taking each box out one by one and putting them on the ottoman. Then she would take the ones from the ottoman and out them back into the basket and get a new box out. She is one smart cookie!

Blue Jackets Game

March 2, 2010 Adam and I took Riley to her very first Blue Jackets Hockey game. We only took her because our friends parents got a box for the game and we knew that she would be safe in it and at least in the box there was another area that she could sit, stand and play in. We thought that maybe the music, the score buzzer and the canon that goes off after every score the Blue Jackets make would scare her but none of them did. She loved it!! She did watch the game and was very good during the whole thing. She even got to play with her new friend Grace who is Jason's cousins daughter. Riley really seems to like her and lets Grace touch her and play with her.

Lately Riley has been standing up all on her own! She will stand in the middle of the room holding a toy and playing with it. I think that she really doesn't even know that she is standing. The last couple of weeks or so she has taken a step here and there. Today March 9, 2010 she took 5 steps to me!! It was very exciting :)
